Volume Overviews

If you have a teaching background, these are normally called the Scope & Sequence of each volume. I’ve always preferred to call them the overviews, since they give a bird’s eye view of what is covered in each volume.

As you go through the year, unit by unit, chapter by chapter, you may be tempted to dig deeper into whatever subject you’re currently studying. Before you do, please check these overviews, to see if the topic is covered in future volumes. Many topics are covered every year, from a different angle. (Weather, plants, human body, maps, etc.)

Not only will this save you time now (you won’t have to write your own lesson plans as you stretch out the topic), but it will save you time later (you won’t have to write your own lesson plans as you try to fill in science and history to go with the Bible lessons).

Having said that, if you do choose to go deeper or take a rabbit trail, and you come across a topic in a future volume that you’ve already covered in a previous one, you can always use the time as a review for that subject.

Please choose a circle below to get to the Overview for the volume.
